At Wilder’s Consignment House, we offer luxury consignment for gently used, pre-loved mid to high-end designer pieces. To that handbag you haven’t reached for in a long time, to that dress you wore once, we’ll help you make some money on your preloved treasures with our designer consignment. You can bring your items in any time and we will go through them with you, selecting the items we feel will sell well for you in our boutique.

Bring your gently preloved items to our consignment boutique in Calgary at any time – no appointment necessary! We consign mid to high-end designer brands like Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Moncler, Ted Baker, Kate Spade, Eileen Fisher and more.

We will pay you 40% on Accessories and Apparel and 50% on handbags and small leather goods when priced below $1000, and all items priced over $1000 earn you between 60-70%.

Tracking your items is so easy with our online system.  Upon your request, your payment can be securely e-transferred or you can pick up a cheque.

Frequently Asked Questions

➜ How long do you hold my items before they get donated?

All consigned items stay in our store for 90 days for items priced below $500 and 180 days for items priced above $500. We have the easy online tracking system myresaleweb.com to monitor your items expiry dates, your sold, returned and available items and your account credit.

➜ How long does it take for my consigned item to be ready for sale on the floor?

We work to achieve a 72 hour business day turnaround for consigned items to be ready for sale.

➜ Can I bring in items that need repairs or cleaning to be consigned?

We will not clean or repair any apparel items for consignment. Please bring in all apparel items in perfect condition. Handbags may be in less than perfect condition, please bring in for review.

➜ What happens if you find stains or damage on the item I've brought in for consignment?

If the item is priced in-store at less than $100 the item will be sent to our charity of choice. Any items priced over $100 we will notify you to arrange for pick up within a couple days.

➜ Who is your charity of choice?

All of our unsold consignment items are sent to Women In Need or Making Changes.

➜ Do you allow refunds or exchanges on consigned items?

We do not allow any refunds or exchanges on consigned items purchased in the boutique or online.

➜ Can you put my consigned item on sale?

Yes, we do put consignment items on sale if it is not sold in the first 45 days.

➜ Do you take clothes from smoking households?

No, we do not accept any items from smoking households. All items are checked for overpowering smells of any kind.

➜ Will you pick up my items I want to consign?

If you have 15 or more of luxury branded items we can arrange pickup. Give us a call to discuss 403.454.7836

➜ Can I pickup my item at any time if I decide not sell it?

We retain items for consignment for a minimum of 90 days to ensure we have enough time to sell an item. If you wish to pick up before this date we may charge a 15% fee.

➜ Will you tell me what you will price my item at?

All items are typically priced 20-70% below retail, including sale prices, depending on their age, condition and popularity. The higher the markdown from retail the more common an item in the resale market. A Chanel bag will always get a lower markdown than other branded bags, for example. If your items is priced at a resale value over $500 we will call or email you to confirm the best price for your item. If priced below a resale value under $500 we price the item according to market resale value without informing you.

➜ Do you provide layaway’s for customers?

We do provide layaway after the item has been in the store for a minimum of 30 days. A 30% deposit on the resale price is required on the first day, 30% on 31st day and balance with taxes on the 60th day. All deposits are non-refundable. If the balance is not paid in the timely manner expected, the deposits are shared between Wilder’s and the consignor. The consignor receives the agreed portion of their percentage on the deposits paid and the item is put back on the sales floor at the original price.

➜ Do you negotiate on pricing with customers?

We do not negotiate on pricing. We do review offers. With each consignor item priced over $500 and an offer over 10% of the stated price, the consignor is called to approve the offer.

➜ Do you take all categories of apparel?

Please check with us when you are considering consigning to see what items we are taking presently accepting for consignment via email or phone 403-454-7836. We currently do not take in any workout wear or business suits. The categories that do the best for us are Handbags, Accessories such as Wallets, Scarves, Belts, Jewelry, Dresses, Blouses and Shirts, Jeans, Coats and Jackets, Pants, Skirts and Footwear. Sizes we carry are 4-14 for apparel and 6-10 footwear.

➜ Do you accept all brands?

We pride ourselves in sourcing quality pieces from mid to high end luxury brands. Fast fashion will not be accepted: American Eagle, Gap, H&M, J Crew, Joe Fresh, Reitman’s, Suzy Shier, Topshop, Zara and several more. All apparel must be in perfect condition and current within the last 3 years. There are exceptions to some vintage, please contact our store to discuss.
